Previously, he was Head of Investment Grade
Sovereign Research at Morgan Stanley in London. In that
capacity, Mr. Khan was responsible for providing primary and
secondary market research on sovereign and sub-sovereign
issuers in the US$, Euro and JPY markets.
After Morgan Stanley, he joined Brunswick
Direct as a shareholding partner. Brunswick Direct was an
online equity broker which made markets in local currency in
more than 20 emerging markets all over the world. At
Brunswick Direct Mr. Khan was responsible for European sales
and Asian research.
He graduated with a BA in economics from
Middlebury College in Vermont, USA and holds a series 7
financial markets qualification in the US.

Mr. Shehzad Anwar has held positions in
institutional equity sales and research over the past 12 years
in 4 countries. Prior to
joining BMA Capital, Shehzad was employed by ABN AMRO Asia
Securities in Singapore as sales director for regional equity
sales. Previously he was head of Indonesian equity sales for ABN
AMRO in Jakarta. Mr. Anwar has worked on some of the largest
telecom and financial sector ECM transactions in Asia, leading
the global distribution efforts for issuers such as Maxis
Telecommunications Bhd., PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, and M1
Communications Singapore Ltd. Prior to joining ABN AMRO in 1998,
Shehzad worked for Peregrine Securities (UK) Ltd. in their
London office as South-East Asian specialist covering UK and
European institutional clients and was instrumental in growing
Peregrine's South-East Asian business in Europe. Shehzad joined
Peregrine from Bear Stearns International Ltd in London on their
emerging markets desk where he covered Turkey, India, Pakistan,
China and Hong Kong and was involved in transactions such as
Efes Biracilik, Guangshen Railway, China Ek Chor Motorcycle, and
Huaneng Power. Prior to joining BSIL, Shehzad was employed by
Bear Stearns Jahangir Siddiqui Ltd. in Karachi, in their equity
sales group where he helped develop several important foreign
and local client relationships and also an important margin
finance product in conjunction with Citibank NA. | Top Amjad Nazir - Associate Director, BMA Trade
Mr. Nazir is in charge of launching BMA’s Retail
Brokerage business. Prior to joining BMA Capital, Mr. Nazir was
Chief Executive Officer of ECLTRADE.COM,
an internet based trading portal. Previously,
Mr. Nazir was Project Leader of a research and training program
to develop research methodology to calculate effective and
nominal taxes, the incidence of direct and indirect taxes, &
effective subsidies and revenue projection. He has been a
faculty member of the pre-budget seminars committee for
Pakistan’s Central Board of Revenue. Mr. Nazir was also
Sub-Project Leader in the rationalization of Pakistan’s federal
tax structure. He was a member of the Tariff Reforms Committee
in negotiations with the IMF and World Bank, bringing down
Pakistan’s maximum tariff from 450 % to 35%. Mr. Nazir has
published significant research papers including “Prevalence of
Excise duty on different income groups of Pakistan"," Elasticity

Mr. Sharfyab Khan runs BMA’s Fixed Income desk.
Previously he was with Confidence Associated as Treasury
Consultant dealing in Foreign Exchange and Money Markets. Prior
to this Mr. Khan was at First Capital
ABN AMRO Karachi office in Money Markets & Foreign

Top Muhammad Amir Iqbal - Head of Finance & OperationsMr. Iqbal has over 13 years of intensive experience in the areas of Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Audit. Currently he is the Head of Finance & Operations at BMA Asset Management Company Limited. Prior to joining BMA, Mr. Iqbal established and managed the Treasury of Gulistan Group of Companies, and supervised the development of accounting software. He remained with the group as Financial Controller till 2002, and was responsible for implementing International Accounting Standards (IAS) and compliance with corporate governance requirements group-wide. Previously Mr. Iqbal was associated with Muhammad Yousuf Adil Saleem & Co., (MYASCO) Chartered Accountants (Member Deloitte, Touche, Tohmatsu) and completed 4 years of article-ship.

Top Aadil Riaz - Head of Human ResourcesMr. Aadil Riaz is currently working with BMA Capital Management Limited, as Head of Human Resources Group. He has an MBA in Banking & Finance and Human Resources and has more than eight years of experience which includes Human Resource and Consulting. Mr. Riaz, has hands on experience in developing HR Policies & Procedures, Competency Based Training Need Analysis, Recruitment & Selection, Performance Management, delivering trainings on soft and behavioral skills and implementation of Human Resource Management Information Systems. After graduating from University of the Punjab - Lahore, Mr. Riaz, started his career in 1997 at KPMG - Taseer Hadi Khalid & Co., a member firm of Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler, where he worked in Financial Advisory Services & Human Resource Consulting Departments in different capacities. Prior to Joining BMA, Mr. Riaz, has also worked with Habib Bank Limited, as an Assistant Vice President in Policy, Planning & Implementation area of Human Resources Group and PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (PwC Consulting), as a Senior Consultant in Human Capital Solutions (HCS) Practice Area. Mr. Aadil Riaz, is a member of different professional bodies such as Management Association of Pakistan (MAP), Marketing Association of Pakistan (MAP), International Personnel Management Association (IPMA), Trainers Resources Group (TRG), and a former member of Executive Search Consultants Forum. |
Top Anwer Hussain - Head of Information TechnologyMr. Hussain is the Head of Information Technology at BMA Capital. He has a Bachelor’s degree in commerce and completed several IT professional courses. Mr. Hussain has more than eight years of IT experience includes system analysis, designing, database administration, QC and support. He has been involved with the installation and management of many local and international software application projects. He has over 6 years of experience in software applications designed for financial markets. Prior to Joining BMA, Mr. Hussain has worked with Computer Research in Karachi as Project Manager and has managed different software projects for the companies like Citibank, Instaphone, Faysal Bank etc. | Top |
